Entering university is an exciting time with exciting choices to be made — which country should you choose to study in? Which school best suits your academic interests? How much cultural support will be available?  Brescia University College offers many services designed to minimize challenges, maximize enjoyment, and assist students in adapting to Canadian culture.

Upon arrival, students participate in the International Bridging Program. This program is designed to provide guidance about accommodations, eating, entertainment, academics, transportation, and thriving in the Canadian culture. This is also a great opportunity to meet with academic counsellors to review course selections and timetables before the academic year begins. Information about opening bank accounts, obtaining bus passes and student identification cards, and other useful tips are provided during this program, as well as an introduction to the Multicultural Club, Cultural Festival, and other extracurricular groups and events.

Another concern that prospective international students may have is the English proficiency requirement for studying in Canada. Brescia’s onsite ESL partner Culture Works program  provides English as a Second Language instruction to fulfill the necessary English language admission requirements. Enrolment in Culture Works provides students with a conditional acceptance to undergraduate studies at Brescia following completion of the English program.

Thanks to Brescia’s intimate atmosphere and helpful programming, the transition for international students into Canadian academics and culture is an exciting experience! Brescia would love to welcome you to London, Canada. Visit Brescia’s website for more information about our international program
